FIVE MINUTE RAPID DRUG SCREEN URINALYSIS As
an alternative to sending a urine specimen to a certified laboratory, there are
many circumstances where there is a need for "instant" drug test results. HMTS
offers testing using a rapid screen kit which gives extremely accurate results
within 5 minutes or less. They are available in 5-panel or 10-panel
configurations, and while approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration,
they are not approved for DOT testing yet. A recent independent laboratory study
confirms the kits as 100% accurate in drug detection. They are particularly
useful to employers who wish to test their prospective employees immediately so
the individual can go to work right away. Also, individuals can purchase them
from HMTS or companies which want to conduct their own drug testing. Test costs
by HMTS personnel using the rapid screen kits are comparable to laboratory
testing, or the kits can be purchased outright through HMTS. They are not
available through traditional outlets such as pharmacies and drug stores.
ALCOHOL
TESTING - DOT and non-DOT alcohol testing is conducted using the DOT approved "Intoximeter Alco-Sensor IV" evidential breath testing device, which gives 100% accurate test results including a printed confirmation.
All of HMTS collectors are Certified Breath Alcohol Technicians.
Also available is "Alcohol
Check", a DOT approved disposable alcohol
detector which can be used by the employer for doing their own pre-employment or reasonable cause/reasonable suspicion
alcohol screen testing.
HAIR TESTING Radioimmunoassay of hair is a
revolutionary new drug screening process that can determine an individuals
drug history, not just the amount of drugs present in the body at the time of
testing, but over a period of months or even years. HMTS offers this service to
customers who want this type of historical reading.
ON-SITE TESTING Trained HMTS collection
technicians can go to your site and conduct any type of testing you require,
with the dignity and courtesy each employee donor deserves.
MOBILE
COLLECTIONS - For employers, which do not have convenient
facilities to use, HMTS can take its modern mobile collection van to the
collection site. The unit is a self-contained air-conditioned unit with
restrooms and work areas. Use of the mobile collection van is particularly
useful in plants and manufacturing facilities or remote job sites with no
restrooms such as construction sites.
NATIONWIDE SERVICE HMTS can provide drug and
alcohol testing services throughout the United States and Canada, through its
network of over 6,000 collection sites. HMTS acts as the testing coordinator and
contracts with well qualified collectors in each clients location. That way,
the employer has only to deal with one collection company, HMTS, which takes on
the responsibility for the entire program. HMTS currently does collections for
many employers, the largest having 39 sites in 16 states for which HMTS is
solely responsible. No program is too large for us to handle.
24-HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK SERVICE HMTS never
closes. We are available to clients at all times, including holidays.
Technicians are always available to handle regular random testing, reasonable
cause/reasonable suspicion situations, and post-accident testing needs.
Normally, a technician is able to respond within 10 minutes of getting a call
for service.
THIRD-PARTY ADMINISTRATOR SERVICE TPA
services are a big part of HMTS client services. HMTS can be the sole
administrator for a clients testing program, handling everything from drug
and alcohol policy development, to collection and testing, to reporting, medical
review officer service, all records keeping, and any other service needed to
completely administer the employers program. HMTS is quite skilled in
policy development and can provide a policy which exactly fits the needs of the
employer and employees, and at a reasonable cost compared to other sources.
We strongly urge that each client have their new drug and alcohol policy
reviewed by their attorney.
RANDOM
SELECTION SERVICE - We can provide the client company with a
computerized Random Pool from which employee names can be selected for random
drug and alcohol testing. Random selections can be done at any time he
client desires, usually monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly depending upon the
size and needs of the company. Having HMTS conduct the random selections
greatly helps o defuse employee complaints concerning that the company keeps
singling out specific individuals for testing, accusations of bias, and charges
of discrimination based on gender, ethnic origin, religion, etc., and the random
selections can be done at a very modest cost.
DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY DEVELOPMENT - HMTS
offers full service drug and alcohol policy development to its clients which do
not have a written policy in place for their employees. We strongly urge our
clients to implement a written substance abuse policy which clearly outlines the
employers expectation toward the potential problem, the consequences for
violation of the policy by the employee, and how the problem is addressed in the
event of a positive test result. A written policy is critical for the legal
protection of the employer and the employee in order to avoid potential legal
challenges, which can be costly for all parties. HMTS is quite skilled in policy
development and can provide a policy which exactly fits the needs of the
employer and employees, and at a reasonable cost. We urge each clinet to have
the policy reviewed by their attorney.
DHHS/SAMHSA LABORATORY SERVICE HMTS utilizes
several different laboratories to conduct the actual laboratory analysis of the
urine specimen. Each laboratory is a Department of Health & Human
Services/Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration certified
laboratory. If a client wants to use a particular laboratory, HMTS is able to
accommodate such request.
EMPLOYEE AND SUPERVISORY TRAINING Sherri L.
Vogler, President of HMTS, is one of two national trainers for DATIA, the Drug
and Alcohol Testing Industry Association, the national industry trade
association for drug and alcohol testing and collection companies. Too, she is a
certified instructor for Intoximeter, the leading manufacturer of evidential
breath testing devices. A highly skilled teacher with extensive training,
she frequently travels throughout the United States conducting training seminars
for other industry firms, and also conducts many training seminars for employers
and supervisory training such as required by Department of Transportation. She
is a highly skilled teacher and has an extensive background in training.
MEDICAL REVIEW OFFICER SERVICE HMTS
contracts with a double board certified (Occupational Medicine and Aerospace
Medicine) medical doctor, also certified as a Medical Review Officer by the two
MRO certification boards, to conduct MRO services for its clients. HMTS has 10
years experience with this MRO service, and the MRO consistently provides
quality results in a very short time period. MRO services are required for
employers doing DOT mandated drug and alcohol testing, yet many non-DOT
employers desire the use of an MRO also.
CONSORTIUM SERVICES - A Consortium is
a group of individuals or small business that form an association or agreement
for a specific purpose or purposes such as to comply with Department of
Transportation (DOT), the FHWA, USCG, FAA, FRA, and RSPA anti-drug programs.
HMTS offers consortiums for FTA, FHWA, and FAA, that fully comply with all
Federal regulations from the department regulating the client's industry.
We provide the government mandated employee education materials, supervisor
training, random selection, drug and alcohol policy, the testing program and
collection, the laboratory and medical review officer, and a fully pre-approved
program that complies with and is approved by DOT. The primary benefit to
firms such as small trucking companies and other regulated businesses, is the
greatly reduced cost by HMTS providing many services for just a small enrollment
fee and testing fee, plus we monitor any changes in DOT regulations that would
affect your company. As a consortium member, you have a hassle-free
program that lets you prioritize your time and resources.
CONFIDENTIAL
BACKGROUND CHECKS HMTS, being useful to clients needing
pre-employment screening, also provides a complete background check service on
prospective employees as an additional service. We can provide criminal
background checks, employment verification, social security number verification,
driving records history, credit history, education verification, and
professional certification verification. Typical turnaround time is usually 24
hours for criminal, social security number, driving records history, credit
history, and professional certification verification. By completing a thorough
background screening of the prospective employee, the employer can avoid hiring
the wrong person, and spend very little money in order to hire just the right
employee.
PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING A recent addition to our menu of
services for pre-employment screening includes psychological testing for certain
pre-dispositions relating to the specific job and suitability for the job, based
on profiles; i.e. you would not hire an accountant who was not detail oriented.
