Houston, Texas (Marketwire) March 1, 2010 – Houston drug and alcohol testing company Houston Medical Testing Services, Inc. (HMTS) has been providing full service programs to employers in the greater Houston Metropolitan area and across the United States since 1989.
Almost two years ago, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation adopted new guidelines regarding alcohol and drug testing programs for wrecker drivers and vehicle storage lot employees and since then, HTMS has become one of the largest providers for that program across the State of Texas to perform required annual and random drug testing for that industry, as well as operates one of the largest consortiums to manage and meet the substance abuse testing requirement for those clients. Houston Medical also operates one of the largest federal DOT trucking consortiums in the United States.
HMTS' standards, policies and procedures are those set forth by the Department of Health and Human Services/Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (DHHS/SAMHSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) and are adhered to by HMTS for all its clients, whether they are federally regulated or have initiated drug testing on their own. All 28 HMTS staff members, are trained in and committed to this high standard of excellence. Sherri Vogler, President of Houston Medical Testing is one of the national trainers for DATIA, the industry’s national trade organization and trains not only her own employees but has trained thousands of other people across the country in order to comply with the industry’s high standards and government requirements.
